Weather communication procedures - text messaging available

Below is information for families about weather-related communication procedures. 
This message is to outline communication procedures and is NOT notification of a weather-related decision.

Please note that if a decision is made to institute a weather-related late start or school closing, information will be shared through these communication channels.  

  • Automated Messages: Phone message and email from the school district
  • Text Message: Parents can now receive text message notifications along with phone and email messages from the high school and district.  Many parents have already signed up to opt-in for this text messaging capability.  Here are directions on how to manage your settings. Skylert Instructions for Parents.pdf ​​​​​​​
  • Radio: WGN AM 720, WBBM AM 780, and FM 105.9

Families should note that communication will be sent through each of these channels allowing you to verify the message.
