Science

The VJA Science Department offers a variety of courses in both the physical and life sciences. The courses and course sequences have been designed to assist students in meeting the Illinois State Board of Education Learning Standards.

We strive to empower each of our students through exposure to the science curriculum, the ability to become effective problem solvers/critical thinkers, collaborative/cooperative workers, and lifelong learners. This is accomplished by making students familiar with the process (scientific method) and content (body of scientific knowledge) of science.
