How will I know which math class to take?
Level placement is determined from the student’s MAP Scores and teacher recommendation.
What type of calculator will I need for high school?
All students are required to have a graphing calculator. We are recommending the NumWorks Calculator for all Math 1 and Math 2 students.
What academic supports are
available at VJA?
We offer T-Bolt Time,The Center, and Math 1 Extended Homeroom for students who need additional math support.
What enrichments are available?

4-YEAR COURSE PLANNING
Students are required to complete 3 credits of math to graduate. All students at VJA are expected to successfully complete Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3.
