PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, and SAT
On March 1st, 2017, Freshman, Sophomore and Junior students will be participating in the SAT Suite of Assessments. Freshman and sophomore students will be in attendance from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. Junior students will be in attendance from 8:00 am until 1:15 pm. Zero hour will not meet. Transportation will be provided. Wednesday March 1st is NOT a Late Start - morning transportation will be provided for usual 8:00am start. Test day dismissal bus times will be as follows: 12:00 pm for freshman and sophomores and 1:15 pm for juniors. The six o'clock activity bus will run its normal schedule. Senior students will not be in attendance. We encourage Senior students to complete deficient service learning hours or complete college preparation activities on this date.
Freshman will take the PSAT 8/9
Sophomores will take the PSAT 10. The PSAT 10 is the spring version of the PSAT/NMSQT; however, the Spring test does not tie itself to the National Merit Scholarship Program. Sophomores should use this opportunity to prepare for their October 2017 National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT).
Juniors will take the state mandated SAT exam. SAT scores are accepted as a college entrance exam at all major colleges and universities.
To insure a positive testing experience, we encourage all students to bring non-mechanical #2 pencils and a calculator, to eat breakfast and have a good night’s sleep going into Wednesday, and to make sure they do NOT bring their cell phone into the testing environment.
